The Miracle League of Manasota is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing an opportunity for all children to play baseball, regardless of their ability. For the 14,000 school-aged children with disabilities in Sarasota and Manatee counties, the Miracle League of Manasota will build a synthetically surfaced baseball field and all the requisite amenities at a site that would serve children from both Counties. For the first time, children challenged by any form of disability will be empowered to enjoy the joys and thrills of baseball regardless of their ability to play. The opening game of the Miracle League of Manasota was held on Saturday, March 17, 2012.

Healthy Teens Coalition is dedicated to reducing risky behaviors by providing local youth with the knowledge and skills to make informed choices about their physical, mental, and emotional health.  The flagship program is the award-winning Teen Health Educator Program – a peer education and peer mentoring program, which has served over 8,000 higher risk Sarasota, and Manatee County youth since 2014 and among other initiatives, is currently working to increase COVID safety in local youth.

CCA The purpose of CCA is to advise and educate the public on conservation of marine resources. The objective of CCA is to conserve, promote, and enhance the present and future availability of those coastal resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the general public. Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) is a non-profit organization with 17 coastal state chapters spanning the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic seaboard, and the Pacific Northwest. CCA has participated productively in virtually every national fisheries debate since 1984. In the federal court system, CCA's legal defense fund has been used to defend net bans; fight for the implementation of bycatch reduction devices; support pro-fisheries legislation; and battle arbitrary no-fishing zones.

HLH stands for Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis and is a life-threatening immunodeficiency. It affects people of all ages and ethnic groups. Common symptoms are fevers, enlarged spleen, low blood counts and liver abnormalities. At least half of the patients with HLH will also experience inflammation of the brain which can lead to a wide variety of neurological problems.
